<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Public Health and Community Health program at MCLA is committed to promoting public health awareness and education. We are excited to offer an opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic student interested in public health and podcast production.</p> <p>We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated student to assist in the creation and production of a public health podcast. The selected student will work closely with students from Dr. Porther's public health courses to develop engaging content that informs, educates, and inspires our audience on various public health topics, including but not limited to disease prevention, community health, mental health, nutrition, healthcare policy, and more.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Researching and proposing podcast topics relevant to public health issues. </li><li>Assisting in scriptwriting, content development, and conducting interviews. </li><li>Managing and coordinating the production schedule and logistics. </li><li>Editing and post-production tasks, including sound editing and quality control. </li><li>Collaborating with the team to promote and distribute the podcast across various platforms. </li><li>Contributing innovative ideas to enhance the podcast's quality and audience engagement. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a relevant academic program (Public Health, Communications) or strong experience in Media Development </li><li>A good understanding of public health issues. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in audio editing software/tools (experience with editing software is a plus). </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. </li><li>Enthusiasm, creativity, and a desire to learn and grow in the field of podcast production. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>This position is open only to students currently enrolled at MCLA..
