<p>Graywolf is seeking Tank Fitter at our Florence, SC outage that will start mid September 2025. Schedule may be night or day shift, 12-hour shifts for an estimated 9 days.</p> <p>Graywolf is a heavy industrial/commercial construction contractor that provides end-to-end solutions from design, fabrication, construction, and facility management with a footprint that is nationwide. We strive to be the best contractor with demonstrating a culture of Safety, Quality and Performance to deliver the best completed projects to our customers.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Tank Fitter is responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing components and systems within vessels such as tanks, boilers, and pressure vessels. This role requires expertise in vessel fitting, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and strong problem-solving skills. Adherence to safety and quality standards is essential.</p> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Assembles and fits to drawing dimensions of all kinds of structural, plate and mechanical materials into all types of assemblies. </li><li>Inspect and measure fabricated components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. </li><li>Fit and fabricate vessels and shell plates to construct water towers and storage tanks. </li><li>Perform or assist with fit-up and preparation of welds. </li><li>Perform or assist with post weld cleanup, inspection, and repair. </li><li>Communicate regularly with the Field Foreman with regard to issues and concerns. </li><li>Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must have at least 3 years of prior tank welding/fitting experience. </li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively and accurately with employees and customers. </li><li>Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements. </li></ul> <p>Physical/Site Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds. </li><li>Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age. </li><li>Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions. </li><li>Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. </li><li>PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required. </li></ul>
