<p>Traveling Controls Engineer | No Relocation | Direct Hire!</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a talented and driven Controls Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for executing automation commissioning and validation protocols, as well as troubleshooting and resolving non-conformances. Working closely with internal engineers and clients, you will help deliver state-of-the-art control systems to enhance efficiency, product quality, and profitability in process manufacturing. Your role will involve defining and implementing programmable logic controller (PLC) configurations, testing, and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Execute automation commissioning and validation protocols. </li><li>Troubleshoot and remediate commissioning and validation non-conformances. </li><li>Collaborate with internal engineers and clients to develop efficient control systems. </li><li>Define and implement PLC configurations. </li><li>Conduct testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in PLC programming and automation. </li><li>Experience with PLC-based control systems. </li><li>Strong process documentation skills. </li><li>Hands-on experience with troubleshooting Rockwell PLCs. </li><li>GMP/Pharma environment work experience. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Site, material, and equipment management experience. </li><li>Assembly of automated equipment. </li><li>Safety analysis and documentation expertise. </li><li>Ability to execute assignments with minimal supervision. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role involves working with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality, efficient, and reliable control systems for manufacturing and facilities. Expect 30%-50% travel, primarily to Texas, with projects in data centers and life sciences/power and utilities. You will be involved in power monitoring and building management, working with a variety of air motion and cooling systems. The position offers opportunities for internal growth, travel, and competitive per diems and bonuses.
