<p>Scheduled Hours</p> <p>40</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Provide specialized food service for inpatient and outpatient research participants in accordance with research protocols requiring precision and accuracy, while adhering to food safety standards.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Primary Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare (including cooking and/or baking) and serve foods following specified research recipes and/or procedures. Weigh all ingredients with accuracy of 0.1 gram. </li><li>Promptly weigh back and record uneaten/refused food items from packed out or inpatient meals as needed. </li><li>Adhere to all policies and procedures related to food safety including storage, preparation, holding, and service. </li><li>Continuously maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and facility, adhering to assigned cleaning. </li><li>Provide ongoing communication and updates with nutrition supervisor and nursing staff to ensure all tasks are completed on time. </li><li>Accurately prepare mixed meal tolerance tests which may involve use of stable isotopic tracers. </li><li>May assist with ordering of food ingredients and other supplies. </li><li>May assist with ensuring that level of food production meets given timelines. </li><li>May assist with training of research dietetic assistants as needed. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned or necessary to accommodate research protocol requirements or as workload changes schedule. </li></ul> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
