<p>What to Expect</p> <p>We are seeking a motivated and energetic leader for the Facilities Operations team at Gigafactory Nevada in Sparks, NV. This individual will be playing a critical role developing and expanding a team that will manage the facilities process systems and facilities utilities areas. Responsibilities include leading and supporting supervisors, program managers, and operators to ensure safe, reliable, efficient, and quality operation of utility systems, enhancing the team culture, driving operational excellence and improving KPI and productivity measures. In addition, a strong facilities technical background and a customer service mindset are critical to enable decision making when working with cross-functional teams such as engineering, maintenance, design, construction and quality.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Manage operating status, planned/unplanned outages, and overall facility and utility operations </li><li>Develop, oversee, and continuously improve programs, procedures, and SOPs for facility operations </li><li>Support, train, and coach staff in operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives </li><li>Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams' safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations </li><li>Identify and implement building improvements and equipment modifications to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency </li><li>Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to optimize facility systems and execute activities effectively </li><li>Champion a high-performance safety culture while driving compliance with performance and talent management criteria </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience </li><li>5+ years of leadership experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, solar, or battery manufacturing facilities </li><li>Expert knowledge and application of first principles </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Extensive experience with complex facility systems, including process, mechanical, electrical, and controls </li><li>Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams and operate effectively in high-pressure environments. </li><li>Experience in cleanroom environments is a plus </li></ul> <p>Tesla is an Equal Opportunity employer.
