Conduct electrocardiograms, cardiac catheterizations, pulmonary-functions, lung capacity, and similar tests.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform M-mode echocardiograms: Obtain standard M-mode echocardiogram of the left ventricle. Obtain standard M-Mode echocardiogram of each of the four valves. Measurements of required valves/chambers. Prepare interpretation form </li><li>Perform two dimensional cardiograms </li><li>Perform Doppler Echocardiography </li><li>Perform Stress Echocardiography </li><li>Record four views of the routine two dimensional echocardiograms on disc when quantitations and wall motion studies are requested. This technician will make preliminary measurements, as well as record the views for later analysis. </li><li>Compile data: Prepare patient file and interpretation forms. Be familiar with report generation. </li><li>Report equipment malfunction and summon repair personnel when indicated. </li><li>Allied duties: to assist with transesophageal echocardiography when it becomes available. To teach digital echocardiographic techniques including exercise cardiography, quantitation and disc making to other technicians. </li><li>Observes and reports any unusual abnormalities to the cardiologist so that proper medical care can be given to the patient. </li><li>Must make appointment changes if needed for patients in emergency situations </li><li>Maintain a timely flow of patients. </li><li>Cheerfully greet patients and prepare them for the appropriate exam. Instruct patients as to exam requirements and/or instructions. Treats patients with utmost respect </li><li>Maintains patient's records and pertinent information </li><li>Maintains testing area for necessary supplies, materials, and cleanliness </li><li>Performs related work responsibilities as required or needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Graduate from an accredited high school </li><li>Technical training through previous on the job training or from accredited course </li><li>Basic EKG interpretation </li><li>Must demonstrate prociency in CP </li><li>RCVT - Registered Cardio-Vascular Technician </li><li>CPR certified </li><li>RCS certified </li><li>RDCS certified </li><li>3-5 years of previous Echo Lab experience </li></ul> <p>The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $35.00-55.00, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.</p>
