<p>We are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer! The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, accurately verifying inquiries, and providing technical expertise to recommend optimal solutions. This role requires strong technical knowledge of transformers combined with excellent communication and sales skills.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field. </li><li>Proven experience in sales engineering or technical sales, preferably within the transformer or electrical industry. </li><li>Strong understanding of transformer design, function, and applications. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and inquiries efficiently. </li><li>Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications. </li><li>Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed. </li><li>Experience working with industrial, renewable, and utility customers is preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with international standards and certifications applicable to transformers is preferred. </li><li>Multilingual skills, especially English and Spanish, are advantageous. </li></ul> <p>Duties</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries related to products. </li><li>Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to understand their technical and commercial requirements. </li><li>Analyze customer inquiries to verify technical feasibility and alignment with company offerings. </li><li>Collaborate with engineering and production teams to propose tailored technical solutions. </li><li>Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers. </li><li>Negotiate commercial terms in coordination with the sales and management team to close sales effectively. </li><li>Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities. </li><li>Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer visits as required. </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Permanent position based out of Dayton, OH.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.</p> <p>TBD - Salary + Bonus (structure is still being developed for Ohio site) - Paid Travel expenses</p> <p>Workplace Type</p> <p>This is a hybrid position in Dayton,OH.</p> <p>Application Deadline</p> <p>This position is anticipated to close on Dec 19, 2025.</p> <p>About Actalent</p> <p>Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
