<p>Position Title: Paraprofessional - School-to-Life</p> <p>Location: Wakefield High School</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associated Degree or higher </li><li>Experience working with students with Autism and/or implementing ABA strategies highly preferred </li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team </li><li>Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development </li></ul> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students under the supervision of the special education teacher and BCBA </li><li>Assist in implementing students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including accommodations, modifications, and behavior support plans </li><li>Support the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems and other communication strategies </li><li>Model and promote appropriate social interactions and facilitate peer engagement </li><li>Collect and record data on student progress, behavior, and performance using program tools and protocols </li><li>Assist students with daily living skills, including toileting, hygiene, and feeding, as needed </li><li>Contribute to a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment </li><li>Collaborate with team members, including special educators, therapists, and other paraprofessionals, to meet individual student needs </li><li>Support generalization of skills across settings, including during inclusion opportunities in general education </li><li>Prepare and organize classroom materials and reinforce instruction during small-group or one-on-one activities </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Reports to: Building Principal</p> <p>Compensation: Commensurate with Wakefield Public Schools' Unit C salary schedule (this position is eligible for a $1,200 stipend in addition to daily rate on salary scale)</p>
