<p>The Lebanon Police Department is seeking a contracted, part-time prosecutor to join our prosecution team. This position involves prosecuting violation-level offenses at the district court level, conducing ALS hearings, adjudicating juvenile matters, and managing routine case paperwork and daily assignments.</p> <p>An ideal candidate would be an attorney with a strong background in law enforcement or a certified police officer with courtroom experience who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle sensitive legal matters with professionalism.</p> <p>Qualifications (Attorney Track)</p> <ul> <li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree </li><li>State of NH law license </li><li>Member in good standing of the NH Bar Association </li><li>One (1) to three (3) years of experience in criminal prosecution </li><li>Maintains NH law license in good standing and fulfills all continuing education requirements </li><li>Stays current on applicable areas of law and performs similar or related duties as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications (Law Enforcement Track)</p> <ul> <li>New Hampshire Certified Law Officer </li><li>Five (5) or more years of law enforcement experience in NH or a comparable state </li><li>Courtroom knowledge and experience </li><li>Strong understanding of NH laws and RSAs, with a commitment to staying current </li></ul> <p>Professional demeanor in handling sensitive information and working with defendants, victims, and witnesses.</p>
