<p>Little Rock Zoo</p> <p>Little Rock Zoo</p> <p>Part Time - Animal Keeper (Ambassadors and Reptiles</p> <p>The Little Rock Zoo and the City of Little Rock are a seeking qualified individual to fill a Part Time Animal Keeper position for Ambassador Animals and Reptiles. This position is under the direction of the Ambassador Animal Curator, working as a swing keeper with a variety of ambassador animals, a breeding colony of African penguins, and animal experiences within the reptile department. This department is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth, with a new stage and exhibits under construction. As an Ambassador Animals and Reptile Keeper, this position is mainly responsible for the daily husbandry and exhibit maintenance in the areas, as well as regular guest encounters and chats. Positive and outgoing personalities are required.</p> <p>Experience Required</p> <p>Completion of high school and six (6) months of experience in the care of birds, ambassador animals, raptors, reptiles, or other exotic animals in a controlled environment, (based on departmental need) OR two (2) or more years of related education (biology, zoology, wildlife biology, etc.) with an internship in a zoo or sanctuary setting.
