Our service offering includes primary medical care, behavioral health, pharmacy and dental services in an integrated model that provides a comprehensive approach to care for our patients.</p> <p>Position Overview</p> <p>The Certified Pharmacy Technician - Clinical/MAT is responsible for supporting the comprehensive clinical pharmacy and enabling services of the pharmacy and integrated behavioral health (IBH) departments with a primary focus on substance use disorder treatment.</p> <p>This position will float among its three locations in Edgecombe, Nash, & Wilson counties:</p> <p>FREEDOM WILSON COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER PHARMACY</p> <p>HARVEST FAMILY HEALTH CENTER PHARMACY</p> <p>WILSON COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER PHARMACY</p> <p>THIS POSITION OFFERS A 40-HOUR WORKWEEK, NO WEEKENDS, FULL BENEFITS PACKAGE, 12 PAID HOLIDAYS, BI-WEEKLY PAY.</p> <p>Essential Tasks</p> <ul> <li>Aiding Pharmacists in medication filling and dispensing processes, in accordance with applicable rules and laws set by governing bodies including the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy. </li><li>Maintaining knowledge of clinic's substance use disorder treatment protocols. </li><li>Communicating effectively with patients as well as members of the pharmacy and medical teams. </li><li>Screening patients for eligibility in various medication access programs and tracking corresponding applications, requests, and authorizations. </li><li>Tracking of medication orders and specialty pharmacy shipments for patients enrolled in the MAT program. </li><li>Supporting medication therapy management and care management service activities including reconciling medications, allergies, and medical conditions; calling patients to obtain pertinent health and treatment related information; as well as educating qualified patients about services and potential benefits. </li><li>Troubleshooting insurance issues and completing prior authorization documentation. </li><li>Entering data into various computer or web-based systems for the purposes of documentation or data collection. </li><li>Becoming a trained Medicare counselor through the North Carolina Department of Insurance Seniors' Health. Insurance Information Program (NCSHIIP) within 6 months of hire & subsequently counseling patients on Medicare Part D plan options. </li><li>Facilitating the distribution of syringe services supplies. </li><li>Participating in occasional community outreach events. </li></ul> <p>Experience Requirements / Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> </li><li> <p>NC Driver's License.</p> </li><li> <p>National Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), required.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous pharmacy work experience or community health center experience, required.</p> </li><li> <p>Computer literacy.</p> </li><li> <p>Self-directed with good organization skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Team player with the ability to work independently.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education Required</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>National Pharmacy Technician Certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board is preferred.</p> <p>Schedule</p> <p>Monday to Friday</p> <p>8 am - 5 pm</p> <p>8 hour shift</p> <p>Day shift</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Constant standing and walking, occasional bending, stooping, lifting, reaching forward and overhead. </li><li>May occasionally be required to lift patients, office equipment and paper, usually not exceeding fifty pounds of direct lift. </li><li>Frequent computer work required. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>401(k) and match </li><li>AD&D insurance </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Disability insurance </li><li>Employee assistance program </li><li>Flexible spending account </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Life insurance </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Holidays </li><li>Vision insurance </li></ul> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Full-time, On site</p> <p>Base Pay Overview</p> <p>The starting pay for this position is $17.00.
