<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Responsible for overall tire maintenance for semi-tractor/trailer equipment</p> <p>ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Removes and installs tires, which includes all aspects of repairing, replacing damaged/worn tires on tractors or trailers </li><li>Maintains and stores tire inventories </li><li>Disposes of damaged/old tire casings </li><li>Maintains and operates all tire equipment </li><li>Receives and carries out instructions </li><li>Maintains regular and predictable attendance </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Good verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to understand and comply with tire repair and replacement standards </li><li>Ability to safely and efficiently work with related tools and lifts </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent</p> <p>combination of education and experience</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. at a time </li><li>Manual dexterity to operate tools and lifts </li><li>The ability to handle extreme temperatures, loud and continuous noise exposure, dirt, oil and other chemicals </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS</p> <p>Forklift Certification</p> <p>OTHER</p> <p>Safety shoes (steel toe or composite) required</p> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>The nature of the environment is one in which the employee may come in contact with outside weather conditions, vibration,</p> <p>moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold or extreme heat and excessive</p> <p>noise levels.</p>
