<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>Parks - Pipestem Resort State Park Employee performs a wide variety of specialized skilled work in the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of the aerial tramway system at Pipestem Resort State Park. Employee must have knowledge of computer code diagnostics to identify and repair malfunctions to the system to safely operate the tram. Employee must be able to perform the following work: heavy duty equipment repair and routine maintenance of large industrial transmission and hydraulic systems; must be able to do elevated line work from a work car with proper safety equipment; must be able to meet the physical demands of performing line work from elevated positions and be prepared to work in various weather conditions throughout the year, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be comfortable working from heights as the duties will include line work in an elevated, open car. Must be able to train others in the operation of the computer code diagnostics and operation of the two aerial tramways. Employee in this position should be prepared to assist other aerial tram operators with their duties, including: rescues, evacuations, and first aid. Employee must have the ability to work under pressure in an unforeseen emergency situation. Employee will be required to maintain and order an adequate stock of highly specific filters, grease, lubricants, and other parts as needed, as well as comprehensive maintenance record-keeping. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT Must be able to pass a physical examination prior to employment and one every twelve months thereafter.
