<p>Job Requirements</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>To be fully engaged in providing Uncompromised Safety, Superior Quality, Memorable</p> <p>Patient/Customer Experiences, and Financial Stewardship by: Assisting the Anesthesia and Nursing</p> <p>Personnel in the care of the surgical patient. Willing and able to float to all four hospitals: Palm Bay</p> <p>Hospital, Cape Canaveral Hospital, Viera Hospital and Holmes Regional Medical Center. Flexibility with</p> <p>shifts and assigned locations is an expectation of the position. A comprehensive orientation and On-the-job training at all 4 hospitals will be provided.</p> <p>PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES</p> <ol> <li> <p>Floats to all 4 hospitals as needed and directed by float pool/ central resource team</p> </li><li> <p>Performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist in performing procedures for patients ranging from infancy to geriatrics</p> </li><li> <p>Performs routine and delegated duties according to all Health First and department policies</p> </li><li> <p>Works under the supervision of the Anesthesiologist, registered nurse</p> </li><li> <p>Utilizing the OR schedule, prepares OR rooms and other procedure areas where anesthesia is provided with appropriate equipment and supplies</p> </li><li> <p>Assembles and assist with the operation of specialized equipment such as humidification units;</p> </li></ol> <p>fiberoptic endoscopic equipment, patient warming devices</p> <ol start="7"> <li> <p>Performs daily performance checks and troubleshoots anesthesia machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning prior to patient use, inspects for defects, and schedules repairs</p> </li><li> <p>Disinfects and sterilizes anesthesia instruments</p> </li><li> <p>Cleans anesthesia machines, monitors and equipment following procedures</p> </li></ol> <p>10.Maintain immediate availability to assist in routine and emergency procedures</p> <p>11.Anticipates need for invasive monitoring according to daily OR schedule</p> <p>12.Maintains an organized environment and supply storage areas</p> <p>13.Has knowledge of basic monitoring functions</p> <p>14.Assists with surgical room turnover as needed</p> <p>15.Assists with positioning patients for surgery as needed</p> <p>16.Assists with cleaning and stocking surgical areas as needed</p> <p>Work Experience</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education: High School Diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Work Experience:</p> <p>Licensure: N/A</p> <p>Certification: Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior tostart date and maintain.</p> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Organized and can establish a good rapport with surgicalstaff and peers.</p> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education: Associate's degree or Technical degree</p> <p>Work Experience: 2 years of experience</p> <p>Licensure: N/A</p> <p>Certification: Anesthesia Tech specializing in Anesthesia credentialed from the AmericanSociety of Anesthesia Technicians/Technologists (ASATT) preferred</p> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (ADA, Travel, Environment, Noise)</p> <p>Must be able to travel to all 4hospitals</p> <p>Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects</p> <p>Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of theassigned shift</p> <p>Must have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks</p> <p>Must be physically agile and can stoop, kneel or crouch</p> <p>Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range</p> <p>Must pass color blindness test</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>ABOUT HEALTH FIRST</p> <p>At Health First, diversity and inclusion are essential for our continued growth and evolution.
