<p>General Summary</p> <p>Delivers patient medication orders as directed by a registered pharmacist. Sorts and transports medications throughout the hospital complex/nursing units following established protocols and techniques.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Delivers individual medications to nursing units and collects new medication orders PRN bags according to established procedures and schedules. </li><li>Maintains professional interactions with Nursing and Pharmacy Management staff. Work occasionally requires contact with patients and/or visitors which involve courtesy. </li><li>Handles medications in accordance with established confidentiality policies, procedures and standards. </li><li>Keeps work area neat and orderly and free of fire and safety hazards. </li><li>Regularly proofreading and checking documents for accuracy and inputting and retrieving words or data into or from and automated computer system </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine. </li><li>Ability to understand and respond to written or verbal instructions. </li><li>Ability to respond appropriately to instructions, questions or requests for information. </li><li>Ability to lift and carrying objects weighing up to twenty pounds. </li></ul> <p>Boston Children's Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits.</p>
