<p>Job Details</p> <p>Job Location: Thatcher Company, Inc. - Salt Lake City, UT</p> <p>Position Type: Full Time</p> <p>Salary Range: $22.00 - $22.00 Hourly</p> <p>Job Shift: Any</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Role Description</p> <p>The Truck Loader is responsible for safely loading and unloading chemicals, connecting railcars for offloading, and ensuring proper handling of equipment and materials. This role requires strict adherence to safety standards and operational protocols in a dynamic outdoor work environment.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Load and unload chemicals such as HCL, Phosphoric Acid, HFS, Sulfuric Acid, Ferrous Chloride, and Ferric Chloride. </li><li>Connect auto valves and hose connections to railcars and run tests on loading scrubbers. </li><li>Open and close valves using Peripheral Interface Controllers (PIC). </li><li>Use computer systems to weigh trucks and monitor railcars during operations. </li><li>Perform safety checks on eyewash stations and fall protection equipment. </li><li>Ensure proper documentation is completed accurately and on time. </li><li>Wear acid suits and appropriate PPE for up to 8 hours as required. </li><li>Work outdoors in varying weather conditions while climbing ladders, pushing heavy connections, and lifting up to 80 pounds. </li><li>Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including MP-15, MP-13, EHS-01, EQ-104, and others. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned to support the success of Thatcher Company. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED preferred. </li><li>Forklift operation experience. </li><li>Basic computer skills. </li><li>Knowledge of using tools for hose connections. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of DOT regulations and NFPA standards. </li><li>Familiarity with M3, Paycom, and PIC systems. </li><li>Experience in railcar loading and handling chemical incompatibles. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Wearing an acid suit for up to 8 hours. </li><li>Climbing ladders and lifting or pushing up to 80 pounds. </li><li>Working outdoors in various weather conditions. </li></ul> <p>This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and thrive in an active, hands-on work environment.</p>
