<p>Duxbury Middle School is seeking a highly qualified certified French teacher (.8) beginning the 2024-2025 school year. The position currently carries 7th and 8th grade sections and could potentially carry 6th grade sections in future years.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Current certification from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in French (5-8) </li><li>Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited college or university </li><li>Classroom management skills that support students social emotional learning </li><li>Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners </li><li>Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks </li><li>Citizenship, residency or work visa required </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualfications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous teaching experience Familiarity with MAFLA proficiency style teaching </li><li>SEI Endorsed </li></ul> <p>Please refer to the Duxbury Public Schools - Unit A Contract for additional information.</p> <p>All full-time employees are eligible to participate in the Town of Duxbury Benefit plans that include health insurance (25% employee contribution), dental insurance, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, vision insurance, pet insurance, accident insurance, cancer insurance, critical illness insurance, prescription drug program, 529 College Savings plan, and an employee assistance program.</p> <p>The Duxbury Middle School is committed to providing a safe and secure academic and social environment for students, and to fostering a school community that promotes respect, dignity, and a healthy life balance.
