<p>The candidate will be asked to perform professional, technical, and analytical work involved in the development, evaluation, and promotion of the Dual Disorders Services arm of Community Corrections/State Trial Court division.</p> <p>This class has non-supervisory responsibilities over employees and/or interns involved in a program or programs for which the incumbent is responsible. This classification receives direction and reports to the Program Manager. </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Perform case officer duties as required which may include conducting assessments utilizing required state assessment tools including, but not limited to, addiction severity index (ASI) and Validated Risk/Needs Assessment upon certification. </li><li>Attend/testify/cover courts. </li><li>Participating in the development and promotion of the program. </li><li>Assist in the development and design of program objectives and content. </li><li>Research and recommends alternative methods of program management to identify possible alternative approaches or evaluate current techniques. </li><li>May review instructional materials, methods, and media for possible use in programs. </li><li>May participate in the dissemination of program information through designing pamphlets, attending conferences, seminars, meetings, etc., in order to promote, publicize and gain support for the program(s). </li><li>Participates in the delivery, evaluation and analysis of programs and services. </li><li>Performs analysis of data to identify aspects of successful program operations. </li><li>May prepare analytical and interpretative reports for management. </li><li>May consult with field experts to ascertain program related information. </li><li>Keeps abreast of current developments and trends. </li><li>Performs specialized services including teaching cognitive behavior curricula. </li><li>May coordinate community resources. </li><li>May recommend placement of clients in specialized programs as needed. </li><li>Performs general administrative duties. </li><li>Keeps accurate records. </li><li>Writes narrative and statistical reports and letters. </li><li>Other assigned duty as directed. </li><li>Applicant must have a Bachelor Degree with two years experience in mental health counseling. </li><li>Employee should demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. </li><li>Employee must exhibit personal integrity, maturity, judgment, and emotional stability suitable to the job. </li><li>Familiarity with Co-Occurring Mental Health and Substance Abuse Population. </li><li>Familiarity with clinical rating scales. </li></ul> <p>To apply by fax, send resume to: </p> <p>Davidson County Community Corrections </p> <p>615-862-8618</p> <p>Requests for ADA accommodation for the recruitment process should be directed to Human Resources at 615-862-6640. </p>
