Guided by our values of integrity, respect, accountability and excellence, we use leading science and technology to move fiber-based packaging forward.</p> <p>Hiring Immediately</p> <p>Prestage Printing - Knoxville, TN</p> <p>Nightshift</p> <p>What We Offer</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental and Vision benefits available immediately </li><li>401K with company match </li><li>80 hours of Paid Time Off and 11 Paid Holidays </li><li>Other benefits such as company paid Long-Term & Short-Term Disability, Tuition Assistance and more </li><li>Comprehensive training with numerous learning and development opportunities </li><li>A career with a global packaging company where Sustainability, Safety and Inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily work. </li></ul> <p>The Opportunity</p> <ul> <li>Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner. </li><li>Each person, regardless of role or position, is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and Quality and GMP. </li><li>Responsible for knowing production needs for all printing presses. </li><li>Ensure printing presses have the job materials (ink, plates, board stock, etc.) needed to operate. </li><li>Aid with press set-up. </li><li>Clean the waste room, ink drums, waste chemical drums, and keep ink sentinel drum station clean. </li><li>Responsible for swapping floor plates. </li><li>Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep on production equipment. </li><li>Provide crews with breaks as needed. </li><li>General cleaning duties on each press, sweep platforms, wipe down equipment. </li><li>Storage and maintenance of coating blankets, create new blankets as needed. </li><li>Assist with general operations on presses. </li><li>Ensure each press has materials for at least 3 jobs staged and ready to run. </li><li>Pull sheeted loads and stage correctly. </li><li>Assist with equipment repairs when possible. </li><li>Clean up department before shift change (garbage and rag buckets empty, material stocked, area swept and clean) </li><li>Safely operate motorized pallet jacks. </li><li>Responsible for training successor. </li><li>Keep area in specs within all 5S requirements. </li><li>Work in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Complete tasks in a timely manner. </li><li>Report to management any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality. </li><li>Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions. </li><li>Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training. </li><li>Heavy manufacturing duties, walking around plant, communicating. </li><li>Computer work, desk work </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What You Need To Succeed</p> <ul> <li>Ability to follow instructions. </li><li>Previous related experience preferred. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. </li></ul> <p>Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.</p> <p>Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.</p>
