<p>Apply</p> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Lebermuth Company is currently looking for a Creative Lab Compounder to join our laboratory team. Lebermuth Company, a family-owned leader in the fragrance and flavor industry, has been blending tradition with innovation for over a century. Our commitment to excellence is evident in our personal touch, sustainable practices, and customer-centric approach.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>As the Creative Lab Compounder, you are responsible for preparing samples for product development, formulation studies, and process reviews, ensuring the work is accurate, complete, and on-time. You will play a key role in fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the overall goals of the Creative Lab.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Utilizes the appropriate equipment (i.e., scales, heat baths, spinners) to measure, weigh and mix chemicals/ingredients in the proper manner and sequence to ensure fragrance/flavor samples align with formula specifications. </li><li>Retrieves ingredients and prepares samples for odor evaluation and fragrance applications testing to ensure desired results are achieved. </li><li>Observes raw materials and mixtures, both in odor and physical appearance, to ensure the quality and integrity of the product is intact. </li><li>Reports on issues identified during product development to management to avoid delays in production. </li><li>Monitors supply levels of raw materials and inform the Senior Creative Lab Compounder when the lab is low on supplies to ensure products are reordered, stocked, stored, and labeled properly. </li><li>Assists perfumers and the sample room with the pouring and filtering of oils to support the team and guarantee timely fulfillment of customer orders. </li><li>Updates sample room inventory by adding or adjusting quantities and assists with locating missing components for production, when requested, to ensure appropriate materials are on-hand to meet customer requests. </li><li>Follows relevant operating procedures, including equipment maintenance and proper disposal of waste materials, to ensure the lab adheres to quality and safety regulations. </li><li>Promotes a safe food culture by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, assisting with cleaning and sanitation throughout the laboratory environment, and accurately completing Lebermuth required paperwork (i.e., equipment logs, regulatory documentation) to ensure the safe production and shipment of quality food products. </li><li>Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance lab processes and achieve operational excellence. </li><li>Engage in regular feedback sessions and team meetings to share insights, discuss challenges, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. </li><li>The job criteria may include other duties, responsibilities, and activities, which may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. </li></ul> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education: High School Diploma or GED required</p> <p>Experience: 1+ years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience from comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.</p> <p>Certifications: N/A</p> <p>Functional Skills: Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, dosages, proportions, and volume. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization is sometimes limited. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written or oral form. Interested in precision work; exhibits attention to detail. Organized in performing work and effective at documentation. Effective listening and problem-solving skills. Ability to exercise sound and accurate judgment. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities without explicit direction on each task.</p> <p>Technology Aptitude/Skills: Basic knowledge of computer and keyboard functions. Working knowledge of manufacturing, inventory control and order processing software.</p> <p>Language Skills: Ability to communicate and receive information in both verbal and written formats. Ability to give and receive feedback in a professional manner. Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and chemical hazard information and safety procedures. Ability to write professional correspondence.
