Buffett, acquired Precision Castparts Corp.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>Electronics technicians are responsible for adjusting, repairing, installing, modifying, debugging and maintaining control systems, and electrical/electronic systems and equipment for production equipment and facilities.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Electrical - (maintain, install, repair and adjust electrical and electronic control systems and equipment that provide power and or control to production equipment and facilities): </li></ul> <p>o Troubleshoots electrical and electronic malfunctions using test instruments/equipment and hand tools including ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, laptops, etc.</p> <p>o This position works directly with the Maintenance organization as well as assisting the Engineering Department.</p> <p>o Knowledge of electrical systems (PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC Drives, AC/DC motors, motor-generators, PCs, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, relay logic, etc.), as well as excellent computer skills (AutoCad, Word, Excel, Windows, etc.).</p> <p>o Shift work is required.</p> <p>o Candidate should also possess good communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to good time management skills.</p> <p>o Performs work with a minimum of direction and often works alone or with maintenance personnel on the off shifts.</p> <p>o May direct the work of less skilled personnel as assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Safety (take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices): </li></ul> <p>o Adheres to plant and department safety rules.</p> <p>o Safely operates all equipment and tools.</p> <p>o Identifies and reports safety problems, corrects when possible.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate. </li><li>Follows up on problems that were not addressed on the previous shift. </li><li>Completes shift logs and updates documentation as necessary. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Advanced Manufacturing Technology or equivalent required. 3 - 5 years technical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. </li></ul> <p>SPECIAL SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Must have a knack at solving problems and coming up with the best solutions. </li><li>Must have PLC programming experience. </li><li>Determination, observance and clear thinking traits. </li><li>Training is provided on the job. </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li>Problem solver </li><li>Innovative </li><li>Flexibility </li><li>Teamwork </li><li>Resourceful </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL NOTES</p> <ul> <li>The Company retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DIMENSIONS</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS - FREQUENTLY MOVES ABOUT THE PRODUCTION FACILITIES.
