<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Evening Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>At Saint Mary's Hospital the Lead Emergency Room Tech provides direct patient care in the Emergency Room and functions as an assistant to medical providers and licensed nurses.</p> <p>What you will do</p> <ul> <li>Assumes a lead role by working with the nurse manager in organizing and ordering supplies. </li><li>Assumes a lead role in overseeing the repair and maintenance of equipment. </li><li>Assumes a key role in the education and professional development of new and existing ED Techs. </li><li>Reports to ED leadership group on a monthly basis regarding the above, as well as any other issues and concerns among technicians. </li><li>Performs other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Education: High School Graduate or equivalent </li><li>Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Must have at minimum, a Connecticut EMT-B license. NREMT-B will be considered until the Connecticut license is acquired. Connecticut licenses that will be accepted include EMT, AEMT, EMTI; EMR license will not be accepted. </li><li>CNA and Medical Assistant Certification accepted. </li><li>BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted. </li><li>Minimum of one (1) years of Acute Care experience in ED. Experience with phlebotomy preferred. </li><li>Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Experience: 1-3 years of Emergency Services experience.
