<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>This position will be part of the xEV Regional PE group for Electric Vehicle products and will be responsible for activity and support for Power Module programs and products used in Inverter products. The purpose of the High Voltage Test Engineer will be to support activities to establish equipment, processes, and quotations for programs related to Intelligent Power Module (IPM) products, with specific focus on testing equipment. Additionally, this role will support activities to identify synergy potentials across programs, products, best practices, ensure cost efficiency and drive synergies across a multitude of xEV activities.</p> <p>Description of Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>% of Time Spent performing Duties</p> <p>Support safe launch of power module products and processes.</p> <p>40%</p> <p>Support development of technology, resource and production requirements.</p> <p>30%</p> <p>Support new power module business opportunities.</p> <p>20%</p> <p>Support production process or equipment problems and develop solutions.</p> <p>5%</p> <p>Other Duties as Assigned to support Corporate Objectives.</p> <p>5%</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):</p> <ul> <li>4-year University Degree in Related Field and 5 years related work experience. </li><li>Engineering skills including experience with DC or AC testing equipment. </li><li>Ability to make quick, accurate, data driven decisions and utilize excellent problem-solving skills. </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Computer literacy with both personal computers and manufacturing systems. </li><li>Willingness to support the corporate culture with an absolute focus on ethics and fairness. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):</p> <ul> <li>Work experience in hign voltage electronics manufacturing environment, including testing equipment/processes. </li><li>Knowledge of EV components and processes, and familiarity with testing processes and equipment for IGBT's, SiC dies, or other semiconductors. </li><li>Knowledge of test fixturing, probes, contacts, cabling, strain, hardware, and software design or operation. </li><li>Experience interfacing/communicating with microcontrollers, evaluating measured electrical characteristics, responses, or waveforms, determining correction criteria such as offset, gain, or other parameters/conditions, and flash/writing to non-volatile or volatile memory. </li><li>Engineering skills including understanding to evaluate, operate, and control testing equipment hardware and software, ensure compliance to isolation, grounding, bonding, and other electrical safety requirements. </li><li>Knowledge of APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, etc. </li><li>Experience in electronics manufacturing and principles of IPC regulations. </li><li>Well organized, attention to detail and able to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously. </li><li>Excellent communication skills to prepare and present information to all levels of associates, management, and customers both verbally and written. </li><li>Ability to lead and mentor other engineers or team members in a variety of roles throughout organization. </li></ul> <p>Essential to Job Functions - Physical and/or Mental Restrictions:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work flexible schedule including all shifts and days as needed </li><li>Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting </li><li>Standing, walking, and bending for the duration of the workday </li><li>Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen </li><li>Ability to travel for business (Domestic and Overseas) </li></ul> <p>Software:</p> <ul> <li>Intermediate experience required in Windows Office Products (MSWord, PowerPoint, and Excel) </li><li>Experience with application specific testing/analysis equipment, signal generator, power supply, oscilloscope, and inspection system management software (preferred). </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li>High level of accuracy and attention to detail </li><li>Make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment and maintain high level of motivation </li><li>Maintain effectiveness in high visibility situations, handle multiple functions efficiently and ensure deadlines are maintained/achieved </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed </li><li>Confers with and prepares reports for corporate management </li><li>Maintain functional knowledge of processes, procedures and equipment within manufacturing </li></ul> <p>Work Environment - Travel, Noise, Smells, Quiet, Indoors or Outdoors, etc.</p> <ul> <li>Requires Travel - Domestic and International </li><li>Open-Office Setting </li><li>Factory Setting with Noise </li><li>Electronics Manufacturing & Cleanroom Environments </li></ul> <p>Equipment Used</p> <ul> <li>Personal Computer </li><li>PM/IPM Equipment & Process Analysis Tools </li><li>DMM & Other Electrical Devices </li><li>Basic Hand Tools & Calibration Equipment </li><li>If interested in this position, please reach out to Abbey Allert with your resume and any other documents. </li></ul> <p>Email: abbey.allert.mb@hitachiastemo.com</p>
