<p>The award-winning Marin County Fair is the County's premier community event with over 120,000 attendees annually. Held annually over the 4th of July holiday, fairgoers enjoy five days of art, rides, concerts, fair food delights, shopping and so much more. </p> <p>The Department of Cultural Services seeks Ticket Ambassador Leads to work at the upcoming Marin County Fair July 1st - 5th, 2026. There are multiple temporary contingent positions for the 2026 Marin County fair.</p> <p>Ticket Ambassador Lead:</p> <p>Manages admission gates team and guest support services. Supervisory experience that demonstrates the ability to manage a team is required. The Lead will work at the three public entrances, will oversee the Guest/Ticket Ambassadors, communicate with Security Staff at bag check and help troubleshoot ticketing issues. The Lead will be responsible form an aging, training, and supporting gate staff; managing staff breaks; and ensuring accurate time sheets. Ideal candidates are technically savvy, have excellent customer service skills and can effectively communicate with Marin Center Staff, Security Staff, and the public to provide assistance and information.</p> <p>As the Ticket Ambassador Lead for the 2026 County of Marin Fair, you will be the face of our guest experience, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed from the moment they arrive. We are looking for a service-oriented leader who excels in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering exceptional, professional customer support. In this role, you will be responsible for over seeing smooth operations using our point-of-sale (POS) systems. The candidates will be both technical savvy and able to handle financial transactions with speed and accuracy. </p> <p>If you are a clear communicator who stays calm under pressure, excels at fostering positive professional relationships, and enjoys taking the lead to ensure a seamless event, we want to hear from you. </p> <p>KNOWLEDGE OF</p> <ul> <li>Accounting procedures and office practices related to a computerized theater box office. </li><li>Processing and recording of financial records and transactions. </li><li>Mathematics, including decimals, percentages, and elementary statistical methods and techniques. </li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite. </li></ul> <p>ABILITY TO</p> <ul> <li>Handle large sums of money utilizing prescribed cash management controls. </li><li>Operate a variety of modern office equipment, including computer terminals. </li><li>Prepare simple financial compilation reports and statements. </li><li>Maintain accurate financial, facility, event and operational files and records. </li><li>Understand accounting records, reconcile statements and find and reconcile errors. </li><li>Read and interpret data processing input and output documents. </li><li>Make computations and tabulations efficiently and accurately. </li><li>Read, understand, and follow written and oral instructions. </li><li>Establish priorities and organize work. </li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted during the performance of duties. </li><li>Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and work in a standard office environment. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS </p> <p>Two years experience handling large sums of money in a box office environment for a convention or performing arts center, auditorium, theater, arena or stadium, which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge and abilities.
