<p>Student Worker - OWU Help Desk Assistant</p> <p>Number of Openings: 2</p> <p>Purpose/Objective of the Role:</p> <p>Provide technical support and assistance to the campus community and front office support for Information Services.</p> <p>Tasks & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Greeting walk-ins </li><li>Answering the phone </li><li>Responding to chat </li><li>Handling tickets in BishopWorks </li><li>Other duties include: </li><li>Updating the Help Desk website and the BishopWorks Knowledge Base </li><li>Assisting with Media Services loans, and other projects as they arise </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Customer service is paramount </li><li>Good communication, both written and oral, is essential </li><li>Initiative and ability to work independently is good </li><li>Computer knowledge and troubleshooting is nice and can be taught </li></ul> <p>Potential Future Career Benefit:</p> <ul> <li>Customer service </li><li>Communication </li><li>Task management are transferrable to any field and occupation </li><li>There's also valuable exposure to systems and practices specific to the IT industry </li></ul> <p>NOTE: Employment sponsorship is not available for this position.
