<p>The Lane Construction Corporation is one of America's leading construction companies, specializing in large, complex civil infrastructure. For nearly 130 years, it has contributed to the development of the country's vast network of roads, highways, and bridges, including the Interstate Highway System. Lane also specializes in tunnels, metro and railway systems, as well as airports and water and wastewater treatment plants</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develops the project CPM schedule based on Owner specification requirements as well as Lane standard practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Creates a baseline schedule narrative, as well as creates and maintains the monthly schedule narrative as a stand-alone document to support the CPM schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Leads the development of time impact and delay analysis for claims.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors and updates accurate schedule progress towards achieving the desired project completion date and informing the project management team of changes to schedule outcome.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates gathering of data with the engineering department to progress schedule activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts daily site visits to verify completed work and activity status and maintains the project progress photos.</p> </li><li> <p>Reviews the quantity book to verify completed quantities to determine percent complete.</p> </li><li> <p>Accepts verbal direction from the project management team regarding changes to the construction sequencing or crew logic and changes the associated logic in the CPM accordingly.</p> </li><li> <p>Creates and maintains 5-week look-ahead schedules derived from the CPM Schedule, in conjunction with the Project Manager and Superintendents and reviews the schedules with superintendents and the project management team.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures the 5-week look-ahead schedule is followed and matches with the project CPM Schedule, addresses inconsistencies, and communicates the effect the variation will have on the CPM schedule to the project management team.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and provides schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains records of scope changes, trends, and variances that potentially affect schedule performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides reports to the project team to be used at the planning meetings such as; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must be able to use fingers to grasp, move and manipulate small objects. The employee must use the stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand and understand the speech of another person. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 30 pounds. Must be able to safely traverse an irregularly surfaced, open construction site, with minimal accommodation. The work environment will consist of moderate to high levels of noise (i.e. typical office noise up to and including an active construction project with heavy equipment).
