Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at-all from Day One.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>The Consumer & Business Banking (CBB) RCA Professional will have the proven skills and experience to contribute toward the success of the CBB Risk Operational Loss Reporting program and in the ongoing process and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Identifies gaps and informs solutions that minimize losses resulting from inadequate internal processes, systems, or human errors. Identifies, responds, and/or escalates risks as appropriate on, or the U.S. Bancorp reputation.</p> <p>This position will focus on timely and accurate monthly Operational loss reporting in the Operations Loss Database, conduct root cause analysis, prepare root cause memo write-up, monthly Business line Ops loss certification and eGRC Archer Issue follow-up. This position will serve as a functional liaison between the Line-of-Business and the Lines-of-Defense. This position will manage the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program for CBB risk and reports to the CBB Risk & Control Manager.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with staff at multiple levels to capture Operational Loss activity for the CBB business line. Operational Loss Reporting Process. </li><li>Complete and coordinate the Monthly Operational Loss certification process. </li><li>Organize and chair the root cause meeting process by working with the business line, issue management and lines of defense to complete the root cause memo. </li><li>Respond to event testing notifications from Operational Loss Management. </li><li>Perform monthly reconciliations between Operational Loss Database and General Ledger. </li><li>Review and update procedures to ensure they comply with Regulatory requirements. </li><li>Assist or work on special projects and ad hoc requests as needed. </li><li>Train fellow CBB employees on the Operational Loss reporting process. </li><li>Use critical tools to proactively monitor potential impacts: Archer, Tableau, Power Apps, AI, Ops Loss Database. </li><li>Ensure timely SOX certifications quarterly. </li><li>Create SOX certification presentations for Chief Risk Office and Managing Committee Members. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of applicable experience. </li><li>Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in operational risk and/or issue management. </li><li>Considerable knowledge of RCA (Risk, Compliance & Audit) competencies. </li><li>Understanding of SOX controls and regulatory framework. </li><li>Applicable risk management training/certification(s). </li><li>Proficient computer application experience/skills with Microsoft Office (Excel especially) and Tableau/Power BI. </li><li>Considerable understanding of the business line operations, products/services, systems and associated risks/controls. </li><li>Business acumen and credibility to help business line proactively identify and address changing workforce needs. </li><li>Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services and regulatory trends impacting assigned line-of-business </li><li>Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. </li><li>Ability to deliver key information in a concise, logical manner to a variety of audiences within the corporate structure. </li><li>Strong process facilitation, project management and analytical skills. </li><li>Ability to work in varying situations from committee work in which a "team-player" approach is essential and to situations in which independence is required. </li><li>Ability to work with a wide-range of levels within the corporate structure. </li><li>Ability to be a problem-solver and take-the-initiative and also display a sense of curiosity, and eagerness to learn. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills including ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and respond rapidly to requests. </li><li>Effectively apply required knowledge to training scenarios and actual incidents. </li></ul> <p>This position offers a hybrid/flexible schedule which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.</p> <p>If there's anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Our approach to benefits and total rewards considers our team members' whole selves and what may be needed to thrive in and outside work. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.
