<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Special Education - Classified/Educational Interpreter</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>4/29/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Livermore High School</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>05/13/2025</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>BASIC FUNCTION:</p> <p>Under the general supervision of the classroom teacher(s), to facilitate communication between the student who is deaf or hard of hearing with staff members and peers in the educational environment by providing voice to sign and sign to voice interpreting.</p> <p>The Educational Interpreter will ensure that the student is able to understand everything that is communicated in the classroom, as well as to actively participate in classroom activities.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>EXPERIENCE: Job related experience is preferred.</p> <p>EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>CERTIFICATES and LICENSES: Possess and maintain certification by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), or have a score of 4.0 or above on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) or the Educational Signs Skills Evaluation-Interpreter (ESSE).</p> <p>EQUIVALENCY: A combination of education, training, and/or job experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.</p> <p>Work Day Schedule: M, T, TH, F -8:30 AM -3:15 PM, W - 8:30 AM -2:00 PM</p> <p>Attachment(s):</p> <ul> <li>2024-2025 CSEA Salary Schedule - Bd Apvd 3.18.25.pdf </li><li>Educational Interpreter_ba3.18.25.pdf </li></ul>
