<p>Company Description</p> <p>About KIPP NYC</p> <p>KIPP NYC Public Schools is a non-profit network of 18 free, public charter schools in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan. We partner with families and communities to create joyful and rigorous schools in pursuit of a more just world. In 1995 we started our first middle school, KIPP Academy, in the Bronx, with a vision that every child grows up free to create the future they want for themselves and their communities. Today, our network consists of eight elementary schools, nine middle schools, one high school, and KIPP Forward, a comprehensive program to support our students and alumni in choosing and preparing for the educational and career paths that fit their goals and sense of purpose. KIPP NYC currently serves more than 11,000 students and alumni, has a staff of more than 1,000 (11 % of whom are alumni), and continues to grow!</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>KIPP NYC is seeking a forward-thinking Associate Director to play a critical role in supporting the development of KIPP NYC's associate teachers and regional staff. As part of the KIPP NYC People Team, the Associate Director, will design and facilitate professional learning, coordinate coaching systems, and contribute to cross-functional staff development initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent Development, this Associate Director bridges classroom practice and adult learning, ensuring that our emerging educators and regional teams have the tools, knowledge, and feedback needed to grow and succeed.</p> <p>This position is based at the KIPP NYC Shared Services Team (SST) office in Midtown Manhattan and requires travel to schools and programs in Manhattan, the Bronx, and Brooklyn</p> <p>If you relocate outside of a commutable distance or out of the state of NY, your employment will be subject to review, which may include separation from KIPP NYC.</p> <p>General Responsibilties and Duties are but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Design and manage professional development for associate teachers, including onboarding, skill-building workshops, and reflection spaces. </li><li>Partner with school-based coaches and leaders to align coaching supports for associate teachers with performance goals and certification requirements. </li><li>Plan, manage, & facilitate training and development opportunities for regional staff </li><li>Support the implementation of development frameworks and competency maps for early-career educators and regional staff. </li><li>Collect and analyze development data (e.g., session feedback, coaching notes, retention data) to inform ongoing improvement. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure development initiatives are aligned to broader talent and retention strategies. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (master's preferred). </li><li>5+ years of classroom experience, with a minimum of 2 years of instructional coaching, or educator development </li><li>Experience designging and facilitating professional development or training for adult learners </li><li>Highly organized and data-informed with systems-oriented mindset </li><li>Skilled in building relationships across roles and levels of experience </li><li>Demonstrated passion for KIPP NYC's mission, vision, core values, and a commitment to high quality public education </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>KIPP NYC offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to 105,000. Salary ranges at KIPP NYC are standardized based on role level and role function.
