<p>Apply</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Summary & Objective</p> <p>The Maintenance Technician - HVAC supports overall facility maintenance with primary responsibility for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining PTAC and other HVAC equipment, while also assisting with general building repairs to ensure a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment for our healthcare environment.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>HVAC / PTAC Systems</p> <ul> <li>Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair the facility's HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, and PTAC systems. </li><li>Perform preventive maintenance on PTAC and other HVAC equipment (filters, coils, performance checks). </li><li>Respond to comfort calls and equipment alarms; diagnose issues and complete timely repairs. </li></ul> <p>General Maintenance</p> <ul> <li>Perform minor plumbing, electrical, soldering, and carpentry repairs (patching/painting walls, roofs, windows, ceilings). </li><li>Clear blockages in toilets, sinks, and other drainage. </li><li>Support maintenance of building systems and equipment as directed by the Maintenance Director or designee. </li></ul> <p>Work Order Management</p> <ul> <li>Manage work requests using maintenance software, accurately documenting work performed, parts used, and time. </li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. </li></ul> <p>Other Duties</p> <ul> <li>Participates in staff in-service training </li><li>Provides orientation to new employees as needed. </li><li>Floats to other units/facilities as assigned to support maintenance and HVAC needs. </li><li>Follows all safety precautions </li><li>Maintain mandatory skill updates </li><li>Comply with all policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibility</p> <ul> <li>May serve as an interim department leader depending on need </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stair or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods of time, etc. </li><li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently work in outside weather condition and is frequently exposed to fumes and airborne particles. </li><li>Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts </li></ul> <p>Disclaimer</p> <p>The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
