<p>Job Title: Quality Engineer / CMM Programmer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer / CMM Programmer with expertise in operating and programming Faro Arm CMM using Polyworks software. The ideal candidate should be able to program CMM using PC-DMIS software, particularly offline, and work with CAD models without requiring a physical part or 2D print.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operate and program Faro Arm CMM with Polyworks software. </li><li>Program CMM using PC-DMIS software, especially offline. </li><li>Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on CMM machine using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. </li><li>Measure dimensions of components and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. </li><li>Read and write CMM reports accurately. </li><li>Develop work instructions for CMM setup and operation for various programs. </li><li>Use calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and various other hand tools. </li><li>Ensure accuracy and precision in measurements for sample layouts and production for first piece and dimensional checks. </li><li>Assist the Quality Director in dimensional inspection of products for PPAPs and investigations. </li><li>Collect and analyze data for measurement systems analysis, capability studies, design of experiments, and gauge R&R. </li><li>Review acceptance criteria defined by customer documents to ensure appropriate inspection methods and identify and document any drawing/specification errors. </li><li>Compile and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to customers for approval. </li><li>Assist the Quality Director in defining and delivering responses to customer requests and inquiries related to product quality. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in operating and programming Faro Arm CMM with Polyworks software. </li><li>Experience in programming CMM using PC-DMIS software, especially offline. </li><li>Ability to work with CAD models. </li><li>Expertise in using precision measuring instruments like calipers, height gauges, and micrometers. </li><li>Capability to read and write CMM reports. </li><li>Experience in developing work instructions for CMM setup and operation. </li><li>Strong analytical skills for data collection and analysis in measurement systems, capability studies, and design of experiments. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Solidworks. </li><li>Familiarity with statistical analysis and data communication. </li><li>Experience in metrology and inspection processes. </li><li>Ability to assist in the preparation of PPAPs and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR). </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role is based in an office setting with some plant measuring required. Working hours may vary depending on company needs, and overtime work is required when necessary.
