<p>Job Title: R&D Lab Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated R&D Lab Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform laboratory procedures and tests related to titratable acidity, moisture, fat, and pH levels. This role requires a meticulous individual who can support QA by performing sample tests, prepare bench samples using formulas and lab protocols, and execute analytical experiments following provided instructions.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform laboratory procedures and tests for titratable acidity, moisture, fat, and pH levels. </li><li>Utilize Word and Excel for documentation and record-keeping. </li><li>Support QA by performing sample tests. </li><li>Prepare bench samples using formulas and lab protocols. </li><li>Execute analytical experiments following provided instructions. </li><li>Document and compile test results, creating graphs, charts, and reports. </li><li>Use specialized software to generate product documentation. </li><li>Order supplies to maintain laboratory inventory. </li><li>Taste or smell food and beverages to ensure flavor specifications are met or to select samples with specific characteristics. </li><li>Assist with tasks supporting other R&D functions. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in R&D, Biology, Food Science, and Chemistry. </li><li>Experience with laboratory procedures and titration. </li><li>Ability to use Word and Excel for documentation. </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Problem-solving skills to proactively address work-related issues. </li><li>Sensory skills to taste or smell foods and beverages. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Biology, Food Science, or a related field. </li><li>Accountability for accepting and accounting for one's actions. </li><li>Commitment to adhering to company policies on customer satisfaction and teamwork within a collaborative environment. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The R&D Lab Technician will work within the food laboratory in a food manufacturing company. This role may require occasional visits to the production floor to grab samples for the lab, but the majority of the day will be spent in the lab/test kitchen areas. The work schedule is from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with minimal overtime involved, likely around 40 hours each week. Employees will get paid for six holidays after 30 days of employment.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
