<p>ANNOUNCEMENT</p> <p>Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time, tenure track full-time instructor position in Radiological Technology program within the Division of Health Sciences and Homeland Security.</p> <p>POSITION DESCRIPTION</p> <p>In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the successful applicant will serve as instructor in the Radiologic Technology program. The individual will teach Radiologic Technology courses in both the traditional, online, and clinical environments. Additional responsibilities include participating in professional development activities and serving as needed on committees within the department, division and College.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in healthcare professional field. </li><li>Credentialed in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or possess suitable equivalent qualifications. </li><li>Willingness to obtain additional radiologic certifications including Certified Tomography and Magnetic Resonance prior to tenure. </li><li>Five years of full-time relevant clinical/professional work experience is required. </li><li>Knowledge of and ability to use computers, applicable software, and the Internet are required. </li><li>Shall meet the minimum standards of instruction established by the Board of Trustees for any assigned courses. </li></ul> <p>SALARY</p> <p>This is a nine-month teaching position with the salary determined by placement on the salary schedule. For example, the starting salary at Step 1 on the Bachelor's Degree column for the 2025-2026 Academic Year is $49,961. Voluntary overload and summer teaching assignments may also be available, which can increase the annual compensation.
