<p>Schedule</p> <p>Full Time: 80 Hours/Biweekly</p> <p>Hours: 4:00am - 12:30pm</p> <p>Saturday Hours: 2:00am - 10:30am</p> <p>Every Other Saturday and Holiday, Required</p> <p>Starting Rate: $17.00/hr + pay for experience</p> <p>General Summary</p> <p>Collects soiled laundry and distributes clean linens to user departments. Maintains stock levels on nursing floors. Follows established procedures.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Collects soiled laundry from various areas of the hospital and delivers to soiled linen rooms in the linen services area. </li><li>Answers telephone, takes messages and/or linen orders by telephone or fax. Provides accurate information or forwards callers to appropriate resource. </li><li>Examines articles for stains, tears or other imperfections. </li><li>Counts and stacks linens for distribution or places them in supply storage. Reports linen supply shortages to linen manager. </li><li>Delivers linens/scrubs to user departments according to preestablished par levels and schedules. Distributes emergency supplies as needed. </li><li>Makes supply packs for departments and puts linen stacks in carts for distribution on/off campus. </li><li>Cleans equipment and work area at end of work day. Alerts supervisor to malfunctioning/defective equipment, and replacement of worn out wearing apparel. </li><li>Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files. Enters daily data in the Linen Helper computer program. </li><li>Washes, dries, folds and delivers patient room curtains on a daily basis or when any soiled linen is delivered to wash room. </li><li>Assists HCSC delivery driver with loading and unloading of clean and soiled linen carts. </li></ul> <p>Common Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings. </li><li>Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Education:</p> <ul> <li>None Required </li><li>High School Diploma or GED Preferred </li></ul> <p>Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Less than 1 year Relevant experience.
