<p>POSITION DESCRIPTION - Mechanical Assembler</p> <p>COMPANY OVERVIEW:</p> <p>MegaFab DBA Piranha is a leading U.S. manufacturer of machine tool and metal processing equipment with a proud and successful 139 + year history. Our product offering includes fiber laser cutting machines, combination punch/plasma fabrication centers, plasma cutting machines, ironworkers, press brakes, bending rolls, section rolls, and structural punching equipment and tooling.</p> <p>POSITION OVERVIEW:</p> <p>We are accepting resumes for Mechanical Assemblers to assemble a variety of machines and options.</p> <p>Full Time and Part Time positions available.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assemble and test piranha iron workers, punch plasma machines, lasers, press brakes, high-definition plasma tables, air plasma tables, bending rolls, and related product. </li><li>Read and interpret assembly blueprints. </li><li>Utilize photos, blueprints, engineering sketches, bill of material, job notes, and verbal instructions to build product. </li><li>Write legibly, fill out final inspection and test documentation. </li><li>Able to perform mechanical assembly. </li><li>Utilize hand tools, power tools, air tools. </li><li>Knowledge of hydraulics. </li><li>Basic Welding experience. </li><li>Safe machine startup, troubleshoot startup issues. </li><li>Utilize overhead crane and proper rigging or lifting devices. </li><li>Operate a forklift. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Work in a team environment interacting cooperatively. </li><li>Lift / handle 50 pounds. </li><li>Safety minded. Must wear steel or composite toe safety shoes, safety glasses. Knowledge of industrial safety. </li><li>Good communication skills with co-workers, lead men, engineering, and supervisor. </li><li>Quality conscious. </li><li>Use computer to clock on/off jobs. </li><li>Maintain clean and organized work area. </li><li>Work with limited supervision. </li><li>Pass Drug Test and Physical </li><li>Work Overtime when necessary. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Highschool diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Associates degree in a related Trade preferred, but not required. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Willing to train a qualified individual (Demonstrated Mechanical Aptitude, Student currently enrolled in Industrial trade) or recent Trade/Tech School Graduate. </li><li>2 years in an Industrial environment preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, general knowledge of tools, fasteners, and assembly technique. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Lift, move, handle 50 pounds and occasionally heavier weights. </li><li>Regular use of eye/hand coordination. </li><li>Frequently stand, stoop, or kneel up to 10 hours. </li><li>Work off a lift or ladder. </li><li>Frequently walk. </li></ul> <p>Position Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>We offer competitive wages and benefits.
