<p>It's more than a job</p> <p>As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. At Kuehne+Nagel, our work truly contributes to more than we imagine.</p> <p>The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Kuehne + Nagel Quality, Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (QSHE) Management systems and standards are implemented and maintained throughout the site. The ideal candidate will have had previous experience supervising quality teams, performing site validation protocols and quality engineering projects, preferably in the Medical Device manufacturing and/or pharmaceutical industry. This managerial position covers QSHE and facilities responsibility for site, travel on occasion.</p> <p>How you create impact</p> <ul> <li>Author, review, edit processes and procedures, and apply these to the respective logistics area. </li><li>Understand processes to extent that can suggest procedures, specification changes; knows when changes may have possible effects on other areas. </li><li>Maintain to compliance document control and retention. </li><li>Proficient understanding and knowledge of departmental procedures to serve as a guide during audits. </li><li>Ensure that the Standard Operating Systems and Consistency initiatives are implemented and maintained. </li><li>Ensure that the required Training is provided in support of QSHE, Security and Operating Systems. </li><li>Responsible for the internal auditing to schedule of Quality, Safety/Health, Security, Compliance standards and requirements. </li><li>Manage Dangerous Goods training certifications, Fork Lift Training program with outside Vendors </li><li>Handles Internal Audit / Assessment Activities as required. </li><li>Identifies and drives site safety and sustainability programs, reporting monthly KPIs for internal and external customers. </li><li>Identifies and drives preventive / predictive improvement activities for key processes in order to meet / exceed business / safety, sustainability and quality performance goals. </li><li>Utilizes Customer (Internal or External) feedback as an input to drive continual improvement. </li><li>Actively participates in systems development and improvement within area of responsibility. </li><li>Leads and develops employees in the use of quality tools, techniques, and methodologies to measure, monitor, report, and improve business performance. </li><li>Interact as needed with customers, both proactively and reactively, to demonstrate Quality/Safety/Security and Sustainability commitment. </li><li>Supports activities to ensure communication between internal and external suppliers. </li><li>Participate in and drive CAPA actions required and deploying root-cause solutions as needed. </li></ul> <p>What we would like you to bring</p> <ul> <li>Quality Engineer and / or Lead Auditor certification a plus. (ASQ, CQE) </li><li>Quality Assurance experience in a medium to high volume logistics or manufacturing environment. </li><li>Direct experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) and facility temperature monitoring, auditing and management of Quality Management Systems preferred. </li><li>Proven ability to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous tasks and prioritize. </li><li>Experience with managing and conducting training is a plus. </li><li>Proficient computer skills including the use of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). </li><li>Possess strong verbal and written communication skills so as to develop an open link with customer for frequent interactions including status and query discussions, audits, and startup. </li><li>Demonstrated strong networking and interpersonal skills and professionalism to deal with all levels of personnel. </li><li>Demonstrated ability developing and using relationships to facilitate accomplishment of goals. </li><li>Must have good problem solving skills and be able to quickly identify, define and resolve problems. </li><li>Desired Personal Characteristics: </li><li>Very organized / Methodical </li><li>Critical / Analytic / Objective </li><li>Approachable </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment. </li><li>Able to give directives, set goals and ensure execution. </li><li>Self-starter / Proactive </li></ul> <p>What's in it for you</p> <p>There has never been a better time to work in logistics.
