<p>Job Description</p> <p>Title: 3886: Americas Resources/Industries Media Relations</p> <p>Role of the Agency Team</p> <p>The Agency team supports all of Accenture media relations - across geographies, industries, functions and strategy and insights. Writers on the team tell the Accenture story through multiple lenses and formats to help the company strengthen and advance its impact and growth in the marketplace. By writing and editing high-quality content, the team helps advance Marketing + Communications' goals and serves as stewards of the highest editorial standards.</p> <p>Position Description</p> <p>The Americas Resources Media Relations communications people help promote, protect, and defend the Accenture brand.</p> <p>While the focus of this role will initially primarily be on the Resources industries - from energy to utilities, to natural resources (mining and metals) - we are also looking for an enterprising communications expert who may be able to support other media relations asks from on-the ground Texas projects to across industries including Automotive and Industrial.</p> <p>This candidate is a highly motivated marketing or communications professional with impeccable writing skills and a detail-oriented, proactive team player who possesses exemplary judgment and an ability to turn abstract and complicated issues and information into simple and powerful narratives.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work closely with the global resources media lead to develop, write and edit a wide variety of resources materials (from energy, to utilities, to natural resources), including articles, news releases, reports, copy about iconic thought leadership, key messages and social script. The role will also involve project based work for other industries that are considered a local/regional priority.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with team members, client engagement teams and other relevant parties, including clients, as appropriate to shape ideas and narratives that align with Accenture's strategic messages and themes.</p> </li><li> <p>Interview subject matter experts and others from across services, corporate functions, and global programs to inform messaging and editorial.</p> </li><li> <p>Translate technical language to clear and accessible copy.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify connection points across various Accenture initiatives to develop overarching storylines.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with global media and industry analyst directors, industry marketing directors, client executives and other relevant parties to help develop content and lead timely responses to media and analyst requests.</p> </li><li> <p>Uphold highest editorials standards and ensure application of Accenture style guide.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualification</p> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 4 years of marketing/communications and/or writing experience, preferably in the resources industries. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in a large global enterprise strongly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in communicating complex information, as well as developing compelling external messages.</p> </li><li> <p>Exceptional writing, editing and oral communications skills - ability to produce compelling content to achieve desired results.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a consistent level of high quality across all written work.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of core marketing communications and editorial essentials, including strategic message development, executive communications and AP style writing.</p> </li><li> <p>Track record of conceiving, writing, and coordinating external messaging, including talking points, news releases, video and audio content, social media and content creation for external events with multiple speakers.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong strategic, analytical thinking skills, with demonstrated excellence in creating and articulating positions.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational skills, with ability to successfully manage multiple assignments simultaneously while collaborating with a team of marketing and communications professionals, including contractors and third-party vendors.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven track record of ghostwriting for voice and priorities.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing timelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to work effectively - and at speed - across functional and geographic groups.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to work independently with minimal supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in integrated communications, including in-depth knowledge of global digital platforms (web, mobile, social), face-to-face channels, content strategy, publishing, and management.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting, either military or civilian.</p> </li></ul> <p>Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
