As a Professional Engineer specializing in Telecommunications, you will support various telecom engineering projects throughout the country and work on challenging projects to develop and expand your telecom understanding.</p> <p>What are the core responsibilities for the role?</p> <ul> <li>Review and stamp Telecommunications drawings and designs for accuracy as needed for various municipalities </li><li>Must be willing and able to obtain Professional Engineer Stamp in various markets as needed to satisfy client needs and demands </li><li>Design and draft Engineering projects in fiber optics and Wireless telecommunications </li><li>Design Fiber Optic running lines and splice details </li><li>Design new Wireless communications towers, Equipment Shelters, Antenna layout (including height and Azimuths), And Fiber optic cable running routes and lengths </li><li>Modify existing Wireless communications drawings for new layouts and technologies </li><li>Plan set development which includes details, site plans, drainage, grading, and electrical drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D </li><li>Work with Manager to Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines </li><li>Manage project data files from various sources </li><li>Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely </li><li>Attend weekly update meetings (virtual) to help manage client expectations and production timelines </li><li>Flexibility to learn and understand new design techniques as well as rely on subject matter specialists around you </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>3-6 Years of experience </li><li>Professional Engineering (PE) licensure </li><li>A self-directed practitioner with strong project management and project delivery skills </li><li>Ability to develop project execution plans and technical deliverables </li><li>Outstanding client and personnel skills and the ability to persuasively communicate at all levels </li><li>Technical expert with outstanding team building, writing, proposal development, and program execution skills </li><li>Must be able to work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients </li><li>Organized and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D </li><li>Experience working with both private and municipal clients </li><li>Strong industry relationships and an understanding of municipal, state, and federal criteria </li><li>Significant experience and understanding of local, regional, state, and federal policies, programs, and procedures </li><li>Ability to read and interpret construction drawings; ability to think 3-dimensionally </li><li>Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities </li><li>Be a professional, creative, team-focused individual that works well with others in a team environment </li></ul> <p>Why would a candidate want this job?</p> <p>At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
