As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will lead and execute technical support initiatives related to electrical engineering systems and equipment. This is a direct-hire opportunity.</p> <p>Benefits Package</p> <ul> <li>401k </li><li>401k Matching </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Vision insurance </li><li>Short term disability </li><li>Long term disability </li><li>Paid vacation </li><li>Paid holidays </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Opportunity for advancement </li><li>Relocation bonus </li><li>Annual Bonus </li></ul> <p>Shift Information</p> <ul> <li>Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM </li></ul> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering </li><li>3-5 years of related experience </li></ul> <p>General Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work flexible hours, including potential call-ins </li><li>Proficiency in developing wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications </li><li>Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CNCs, and data collection systems </li><li>Familiarity with OSHA specifications and plant safety standards </li><li>Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills </li><li>Collaboration with IT and maintenance teams </li><li>Commitment to 5-S, Kaizen, Koyo Production System, TS16949, and ISO14000 initiatives </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Apply electrical theory to test and modify electrical machinery and control systems </li><li>Maintain inventory of electrical spare parts </li><li>Assemble and test motor controls, transformers, and other electrical components </li><li>Modify programs and logic to improve production efficiency and safety </li><li>Diagnose and implement solutions for electrical/mechanical malfunctions </li><li>Monitor and reduce overall plant electrical usage and costs </li><li>Collaborate with IT to network machines and maintain data systems </li><li>Ensure equipment complies with OSHA standards </li><li>Use preventive maintenance systems to identify potential failures </li><li>Support training and team-building within the maintenance department </li><li>Create wiring diagrams and oversee routine installation and maintenance </li><li>Manage plant-wide backups for PLCs, CNC parameters, and machine settings </li><li>Adjust electrical prototypes to correct deviations </li><li>Plan and record electrical testing and recommend equipment updates </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Approximately 75% in a manufacturing environment and 25% in an office setting </li><li>Requires PPE including safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection </li><li>Involves use of a computer and manual dexterity for office equipment </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Minimal physical demands; involves extended computer use and occasional exposure to manufacturing conditions </li></ul>
