<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Metal Fabricator / Assembler / CAD Designer is responsible for both the fabrication and assembly of aluminum structures and the design and production of detailed CAD drawings to support manufacturing. This hands-on role includes creating and interpreting CAD drawings, operating shop tools and equipment, and assembling finished parts with precision and efficiency.</p> <p>Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, experienced with CAD software, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a production environment. This role is essential to supporting the quality, consistency, and efficiency of our manufactured solutions.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>CAD Design & Drafting</p> </li><li> <p>Produce detailed 2D and/or 3D CAD drawings for fabrication and assembly.</p> </li><li> <p>Modify or create designs to meet customer specifications and manufacturing requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all drawings are accurate, clear, and complete for production use.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain organized digital drawing files and revision histories.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop manufacturable solutions.</p> </li><li> <p>Metal Fabrication & Assembly</p> </li><li> <p>Cut aluminum stock to length using large saws and precision cutting tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Precision fully automatic saw system</p> </li><li> <p>Jet Drill/mill for precision drilling</p> </li><li> <p>Drill, tap, and deburr materials as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Hand tapping with pneumatic drilling</p> </li><li> <p>Assemble components to match CAD design specifications using appropriate tools and fasteners.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure final assembly quality aligns with customer and engineering requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation</p> </li><li> <p>Read, interpret, and create CAD drawings and technical blueprints.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications from prints.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and improve designs for manufacturability.</p> </li><li> <p>Tool & Equipment Operation</p> </li><li> <p>Operate hand tools, drill press, chop saw, and other shop equipment safely and effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaboration & Process Improvement</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with engineers and project managers to clarify designs and resolve discrepancies.</p> </li><li> <p>Recommend improvements in fabrication techniques or tooling for efficiency.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in fabrication, assembly, machining, or design/drafting roles. </li><li>Proficiency in creating, reading, and interpreting technical drawings using CAD software (required). </li><li>Experience with common CAD tools (e.g., SolidEdge, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar). </li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. </li><li>Experience operating saws, drill presses, and hand tools. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods. </li><li>Forklift certification (preferred but not required). </li></ul> <p>Position Details</p> <p>Location: Wheat Ridge, Colorado</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM</p> <p>Travel: Possible for manufacture training</p> <p>Work Environment: In-shop, hands-on production setting</p>
