<p>Position Title: ASSEMBLER - CLEAN ROOM</p> <p>Position Summary: Position is responsible for the accurate assembly of components as specified by customer work orders, engineering process routers, blueprints and any applicable code or specification, in a clean room environment.</p> <p>Reports to: Team Leader - Clean Room</p> <p>Personnel: Not applicable.</p> <p>Accountabilities: Assemblers are responsible for producing conforming components that meet all blueprint dimensions within the said tolerances; any moving parts must operate correctly. Cleanliness and preservation of internal components must be maintained along with the final appearance of the component. All SOP's and WI's must be followed and a safe, clean and organized work area must be maintained.</p> <p>Authorities: Not Applicable</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Perform pre-clean room wash operations and follow appropriate procedures for clean room entry with materials. </li><li>Perform complex assembly operations using a variety of tools and equipment within a clean room environment. </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished component. </li><li>Use torque wrenches and understands torque methods and sequencing. </li><li>Use precision measuring instruments. </li><li>Install thread inserts, keenserts and fasteners. </li><li>Operate and trouble shoot equipment used in assembly operations. </li><li>Perform material handling functions using material handling equipment within the clean room. </li><li>Enter correct data into data collection system (IDC) and ensure accurate labor reporting. </li><li>Understand and properly operate the "Available Documents" program. </li><li>Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of equipment and work area on a daily basis. </li><li>Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities. </li></ul> <p>Job Qualification Requirements:</p> <p>Educational Experience - A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of one year of trade school, vocational education or apprenticeship is preferred but not required.</p> <p>Experience - Not Applicable</p> <p>Physical Demands - The employee is required to:</p> <ul> <li>Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor. </li><li>Exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or </li><li>Exert 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or </li><li>Exert up to 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. </li></ul> <p>Certification Required - Not Applicable</p> <p>Visual Acuity - Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading blueprints, written instructions and assembling small details.</p> <p>Hearing Ability - Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes in order to take appropriate action.
