<p>Job Posting: Lab Technician Opportunity at a Respected Laboratory in Willimantic, CT!Job Overview:</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our reputable laboratory team in Willimantic, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for the sterilization and maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensuring a clean and efficient work environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure the effective sterilization and upkeep of laboratory equipment. </li><li>Sterilize and dispose of used laboratory materials (such as eggs, culture tubes, and waste). </li><li>Clean, sterilize, and prepare labware for use, and develop a schedule based on production needs. </li><li>Operate autoclaves in accordance with the labware usage schedule and specific customer requirements. </li><li>Oversee the rotation, disposal, and replacement of plastic laboratory equipment. </li><li>Prepare daily detergent and disinfectant solutions tailored to equipment needs. </li><li>Lead and mentor lab technicians assigned to assist with cleaning and sterilization tasks. </li><li>Wash and fold laboratory laundry. </li><li>Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of autoclaves and other laboratory equipment. </li><li>Maintain logs for kitchen equipment. </li><li>Perform general housekeeping in laboratory facilities as needed. </li><li>Undertake additional related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Compensation and Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive hourly pay range of $18.00 - $21.00. </li></ul> <p>Eligibility requirements may apply for certain benefits based on job classification and length of employment.
