<p>Job Title: Lead Implementation Specialist</p> <p>Grade: 26</p> <p>Salary: $93,623-105,078</p> <p>The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a full-time Lead Implementation Specialist position for the Division of Behavioral Health Services and Policy Research at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. The Lead Implementation Specialist will provide Individual Placement and Support (IPS) training, fidelity reviews and technical assistance to IPS programs in California. This position will supervise 1-3 IPS specialists, including development of performance appraisals, interviewing candidates, hiring and firing.. The Lead Implementation Specialist will work closely with the IPS Center Director to communicate barriers, risks, and progress on IPS implementation for individual programs and for the IPS implementation in the state. The Lead Implementation Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring the IPS Training, Technical Assistance and Fidelity Reviews provided by the CA training team is carefully documented and reported to Health Management Associates.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provision of in-person group training and virtual group training to IPS specialists, IPS supervisors, mental health practitioners, and state Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors. </li><li>Facilitation of fidelity reviews for programs. </li><li>Supervision of 1-3 IPS Trainers. </li><li>Assurance that training is interactive (not based on PPTs). </li><li>Assist counties developing an IPS supported employment implementation plans. </li><li>Use field mentoring and skills demonstration, shadowing, and feedback to teach IPS supervisors how to coach front line staff. </li><li>Promote actions to ensure that programmatic structure and agency culture support competitive integrated employment as an outcome. </li><li>Identify barriers to implementing integrated services and facilitate resolutions. </li><li>Provide ongoing consultation and guidance to counties regarding expanding and sustaining good-fidelity IPS supported employment. </li><li>Provide updates to DCHS (Department of California Health Services) and HMA as requested. </li><li>Ensure that IPS trainers maintain records of all activities provided. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in rehabilitation counseling, counseling, psychology, social work, or related human services area or the equivalent; AND (5) years of relevant experience in mental health services, vocational services, supported employment in a mental health system. </li><li>Candidate must live in California or an adjacent state [within 60 miles] OR candidate must move to California or an adjacent state [within 60 miles] within two months of being hired. </li><li>Must be able to travel overnight on a regular basis </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in a social service field is preferred. </li><li>At least (3) years experience as an IPS trainer and fidelity reviewer is preferred, and experience as an IPS supervisor is also desirable. </li><li>At least (1) year of experience working with programs that serve young adults. </li><li>At least 6 months experience working on an ACT/FACT team (or with ACT/FACT teams). </li></ul> <p>Work Location: 1051 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10032 (Remote)</p> <p>To Apply: Submit an application through our website at https://nyspi.applicantpro.com/jobs/.
