<p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors' degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. </li><li>A minimum of two (2) years' demonstrated experience working with high-risk students and providing one-on-one academic support to students, preferably in an NCAA Division I environment. </li><li>A minimum of two (2) years' demonstrated experience in higher education academic advising, counseling or student services, preferably in an NCAA Division I environment. </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of effective learning strategies, motivational techniques and student skill development. </li><li>Skilled application of the Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Moodle/Canvass. </li><li>Perform all job duties in a manner consistent with NCAA, conference and University rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, procedures and guidelines. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, organization, communication, attention-to-detail, time management and teamwork skills. </li><li>This position requires a high level of initiative, follow-through and problem solving skills. </li><li>Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree. </li><li>Knowledge of University's academic policies and curricula. </li><li>Previous oversight on an NCAA Division I Academic Success unit. </li><li>Previous supervisory experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>All Qualifications</p> <p>Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.</p> <p>Position Details Position Purpose</p> <ul> <li>Identify, develop, and oversee academic success initiatives for 350+ student-athletes. </li><li>Serve as an academic mentor for at-risk student-athletes. </li><li>Serve as an academic advisor. </li><li>Provide supervisor oversight for Academic Staff and Graduate Assistant. </li></ul> <p>Job Open Date 08/22/2025 Job Close Date</p>
