<p>VIRGINIA COMMONWEALTH UNIVERSITY</p> <p>DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS</p> <p>RECREATION & WELL-BEING</p> <p>PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER</p> <p>The Housekeeper is responsible for performing a wide variety of housekeeping services at all Recreational Sports facilities. Housekeepers attend to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail and create a clean and orderly environment for our patrons. This position works primarily nights and weekends. This position will report to the Housekeeping Coordinator.</p> <p>SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:</p> <p>Environmental Services:</p> <ul> <li>Perform a wide variety of cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal. </li><li>Porter, clean, and deep clean activity spaces, classrooms, offices, and outdoor spaces at all Recreational Sports facilities. </li><li>Perform floor work on a variety of surfaces, including carpet, epoxy, rubber, wood, and synthetic turf. </li><li>Ensure all rooms are cared for according to established standards. </li><li>Perform intensive cleaning and special housekeeping projects as needed. </li><li>Notify supervisors of any damages, defects, and unsafe conditions. </li><li>Report low inventories to the Housekeeping Coordinator in a timely manner. </li><li>Perform housekeeping duties during special events. </li><li>Risk Management </li><li>Perform housekeeping tasks to ensure sanitation and cleanliness using standard cleaning methods and appropriate housekeeping equipment. </li><li>Ensure member safety when performing work and uses appropriate signage to notify members of work being performed. </li><li>Obtain appropriate training to ensure proper handling of chemicals and equipment. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. </li></ul> <p>Other requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Position involves working evenings and weekends. </li><li>Position is located in a non-smoking work area. </li></ul> <p>POSITION: This position is a non-student hourly position.</p>
