We also promote a healthy work/life balance.</p> <p>The Department of Specialty Courts oversees the Drug Court, Mental Health Court, and Veterans Treatment Court programs. Collectively referred to as Specialty Courts, these programs are similarly structured and supervise and have the same goal - to give participants the opportunity to overcome substance use disorder and make a positive change in their lives.</p> <p>The Administrative Office of the Courts, Department of Specialty Courts, has an immediate opening for a Program Project Coordinator in Jefferson County.</p> <p>CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB Expand and improve judicial response to mental/behavioral health, co-occurring, substance abuse disorders.</p> <p>EXAMPLES OF DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS CLASSIFICATION:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate state-level stakeholders across systems to strategically support a judicial system of care. </li><li>Perform on-going state-level statutory and policy review in order to facilitate systemic change and improve access for court involved adults and children. </li><li>Provide technical assistance, support, and training to court-based programs such as specialty courts, pretrial, and family and juvenile services. </li><li>Interact and communicate with various groups and individuals such as the justices, judges, county and commonwealth attorneys, public defenders, department of corrections personnel, law enforcement personnel, treatment providers, legislators, justice and public safety representatives, national associations, committee representatives and the public. </li><li>Inform changes on treatment network programs, services, and opportunities. </li><li>Develop reports, publications, resources related to the system of care. </li><li>Develop curriculum and provide training to elected, court personnel, and court-community partners. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Related Field</p> <p>EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: 2 Years of Specialized Experience</p> <p>Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE</p> <p>Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Associates Degree and 3 Years Job Related Experience Special</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Related Experience Must Be in The Area of Treatment Providers and Evidence Based Practices for Mental/Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse Disorders, And/or Co-Occurring Disorders.
