<p>Located in the VA Central Iowa Sterile Processing Service. The incumbent will perform manual cleaning, decontamination, preparation, packaging, high level disinfection, and sterilization of reusable medical devices (RMD) in the healthcare center.</p> <p>The VA Midwest Health Care Network advocates for a Whole Health System of care in each of the Medical Centers. This aligns with the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Mission Statement to Honor America's Veterans by providing exceptional health care that improves their health and well-being.</p> <p>Major duties include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of standard operating procedures for cleaning, disinfection, preparation, sterilization, high level disinfection. </li><li>Preparation of areas and equipment for completing procedures for cleaning, disinfection, high level disinfection, and sterilization of RMD. </li><li>Utilize competency/standard operation procedure and manufacture's instructions for use in the reprocessing of RMD and operation of reprocessing equipment. </li><li>Process RMD Independently and serve as a resource to less experienced MSTS. </li><li>Assist with training. </li><li>Work as a team member with other MSTs to complete daily workload. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 12:00pm to 8:30pm</p> <p>Telework: Not Available</p> <p>Virtual: This is not a virtual position.</p> <p>Functional Statement #: 000000</p> <p>Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized</p> <p>Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized</p>
