<ol> <li> <p>Responsible for program development and coordination with clinical departments.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures the smooth and orderly operation of the Department in a cost effective and caring manner, developing and maintaining standards of care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, fulfilling the guidelines of appropriate accrediting and regulatory agencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for establishing appropriate staffing levels and supervision of all levels of rehabilitation staff, including scheduling.</p> </li><li> <p>Selects/orients and evaluates department staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Initiates and/or recommends personnel actions.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and provides input to the budgetary process to include capital budget. Develops and recommends an operating budget.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors expenditures and revenues and responds to variances in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Keeps abreast of reimbursement regulations and requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates equipment needs and processes purchases.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops departmental goals and objectives. Analyzes and utilizes performance data for decision making in the daily operation of the service. Meets established operational benchmarks.</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts regular staff meetings, facilitates educational opportunities for the professional enrichment of staff, both mandatory and optional.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares department reports for senior management as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Channels concerns appropriately, deals with conflict appropriately and privately.</p> </li><li> <p>Fosters a sense of teamwork and collaboration within department and hospital.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in marketing and promotion of rehabilitation services</p> </li><li> <p>Provides constructive input, suggestions and support to foster process improvement within the departments.</p> </li><li> <p>Interacts with departmental and hospital personnel to promote positive working environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies personal professional goals consistent with department goals or hospital-wide goals to further develop or improve department activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Promotes department activities and growth through public speaking, community service or demonstrated practitioner-therapist relationship building.</p> </li><li> <p>Shares clinical information with staff through rounds, in-services, workshops or other informal/formal process.</p> </li></ol> <p>Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects Cape Cod Hospital's commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service.</p> <ul> <li>Entry level degree from an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech and Language Pathology program. Master's or Doctorate degree preferred. </li><li>Licensed or eligible to be licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. </li><li>5 years clinical practice experience in an outpatient rehab setting. </li><li>Current BLS certification. </li></ul>
