Other duties may be assigned</p> <p>Leadership by Values</p> <ul> <li> <p>Establish and maintain a high level of citizen confidence.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate the principles of One Team, One Goal in daily interactions with staff and guests.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with establishing and maintaining exceptional relationships with internal team members and external stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Support and ensure a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging exists in all areas of the Park District.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead with a servant leader style and approach when interacting with internal and external customers.</p> </li></ul> <p>Operational Excellence</p> <p>Leadership Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Serves as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of the Golf Course Manager, providing on-site operational leadership and day-to-day supervision of cashiers, starters, rangers, and other assigned staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with creating and maintaining accurate staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for daily operations, tournaments, leagues, outings, and special events.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with oversight of merchandise inventory, including stocking, displays, ordering recommendations, and inventory tracking to maintain appropriate product levels.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees cash handling procedures in the absence of the Golf Course Manager, including cash tills, deposit documentation, variance reporting, and change order requests while ensuring compliance with District cash control procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Reviews end-of-day cash journals and communicates discrepancies or operational concerns to management.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with onboarding, training, coaching, and supporting seasonal staff in customer service expectations, clubhouse operations, safety procedures, pace of play standards, and daily operational procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides training and support related to the Lightspeed point-of-sale system, including tee time reservations, merchandise sales, gift card transactions, food and beverage purchases, and customer account support.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with troubleshooting point-of-sale system or operational issues and communicates concerns to management as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Attends operational meetings with management staff to review schedules, staffing needs, tournaments, leagues, outings, and upcoming events.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversees golf cart fleet operations at the close of business, ensuring carts are cleaned, charged, staged, and properly stored.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with tracking, reviewing, and approving seasonal employee time and attendance records.</p> </li><li> <p>Helps ensure daily operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in alignment with Rockford Park District operational standards and customer service expectations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Operational & Customer Service Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ensures all patrons, guests, partners, and community members receive exceptional customer service and enjoy a positive experience at Rockford Park District golf facilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Greets patrons in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner and provides assistance throughout their visit.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs cash handling and sales transactions using the Rockford Park District's point-of-sale systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Implements and follows all Golf Operations cash control procedures and operational policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Registers, reserves, modifies, and cancels tee times while assisting with daily tee sheet management.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with managing pace of play standards to promote an enjoyable and timely golf experience for patrons.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides operational support for tournaments, golf outings, leagues, lesson programs, and special events.</p> </li><li> <p>Cleans, prepares, stages, and maintains golf carts, driving ranges, practice facilities, and clubhouse areas for patron use.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with general cleaning, organization, minor maintenance, and overall appearance of golf facilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors weather conditions and assists with implementation of safety procedures and emergency response protocols as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with fellow staff members to support smooth daily operations across golf facilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs all other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum 21 years of age.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of two (2) years of customer service, golf operations, hospitality, retail, recreation, or related experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous leadership, supervisory, or shift lead experience preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>Critical Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
