Is that you?</p> <p>Jockey is seeking an Associate Designer of Innerwear to join our Design team!</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Associate Designer of Innerwear will provide support to Designers for all assigned categories.</p> <p>This position will be located at our corporate headquarters in Kenosha, WI (between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI area).</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with the design team to develop seasonal concepts and themes. </li><li>Assist with editing garment styles and Bills of Materials (BOMs) in PLM system. </li><li>Add color seasonally to garments and BOMs in PLM systems. </li><li>Support the Design team in daily tasks and act as backup/support to the designers in updating tasks in the PLM system. </li><li>Conduct research on fabric, trims and color trends. </li><li>Assist in sourcing and selecting materials for samples and production and follow up with materials team on those developments. </li><li>Assist the Design team in compiling, organizing and preparing presentation materials for meetings. </li><li>Prepare technical drawings/tech packs and specifications for manufacturing and continue to update throughout season. </li><li>Participate in fittings and provide feedback on garment fit and construction. </li><li>Stay updated on industry trends, competitor analysis and consumer preferences. </li><li>Organize, label and maintain design garment samples and manage sample availability for meetings. </li><li>Ensure support tasks are completed in accordance with critical path calendar dates. </li><li>Schedule garment concept approval virtual meetings and assist in documentation and tech pack creation for meetings. </li><li>Attend various department support meetings and product fittings. </li><li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to collaborate, build and grow businesses. </li><li>Assist in creating, presenting and updating seasonal roadmaps. </li><li>Balance multiple seasons at once and prioritize workloads according to calendars and seasonal timelines. </li><li>Assist in creating color references and kits for artwork, set up artwork in PLM system and assist in managing and commenting on strike-off approvals. </li><li>Assist in set up and creation of supporting materials for account and internal presentations. </li><li>Work on various projects as needed. </li><li>Ability to travel between offices seasonally, if needed. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of apparel design experience, with knowledge of fabrics and trims and an understanding of the design process. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in design or related field required. </li><li>Previous design and/or product development experience a plus. </li><li>Ability to illustrate and flat sketch. </li><li>Basic knowledge of garment construction and fabrics. </li><li>Exposure to developing presentation boards a plus. </li><li>Excellent organization, follow-through, detail orientation, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills required. </li><li>Ability to prioritize own work schedule and communicate roadblocks. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment. </li><li>Proficient in Adobe Illustrator. </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). </li></ul> <p>In return for your expertise, JOCKEY offers a competitive and comprehensive flexible benefits package which includes Medical/Dental/Life/Vision, 401(k), educational support, paid Volunteerism program, fitness club discounts, onsite health & wellness programs, generous employee discounts, a business casual work environment, a challenging work environment and exciting career growth opportunities!</p>
